Card Preview: Stealth and Waylay by Killian
I'm a little late with this one, but today's preview is about the rogue's stealth ability and how it can be used with other cards to create combos. Two cards were revealed in this preview: Stealth and Waylay. You can also read the full article at the official site.
From the article:
There are a few classes in the World of Warcraft online game that allow you to hit your enemies fast and hard. While a mage has the ability to do that to . . . well, anything, their drawback is that they can use up their mana too quickly and have little to no physical strength if they are forced into melee combat. The rogue is the other master of massive damage, but that class focuses on melee combat rather than exploding enemy faces.
The rogue’s key feature is the ability to go into stealth mode. This makes rogues very difficult to detect, which allows them to sneak around safely. The main purpose of stealthing is to creep up behind enemy targets and unleash a painful surprise attack.

Card Previews: Bear Form and Predatory Strikes by Killian
There's a new preview at the official WoW TCG site that should be interesting for druid fans. They reveal two druid cards today: Bear Form and Predatory Strikes.
From the article:
Bear Form is more than just an ability; it’s an entire facet of being a Druid. As such, it is far too large for a single card to represent. The card Bear Form gives your hero protector, and more importantly, it gives a qualifier for later abilities. There will probably be many abilities that will only be playable while in bear form. There will also likely be a few other abilities that shift your hero into bear form. This card is just one representation of the Druid being in bear form.

Damage Week: Chain Lightning by Killian
This week's last card preview is for Chain Lightning, the shaman spell that lets you deal damage to multiple enemies at once.
From the article:
The shaman class is just powerful, and if the person playing as the shaman knows what he or she is doing, the shaman is often going to be a royal pain to take down. Shamans have plenty of powerful spells that range from healing themselves and their allies to shocking opponents for instantaneous damage. One of the later spells a shaman learns is Chain Lightning. This nasty little spell allows the shaman to shoot a bolt of lightning at its enemy for decent damage. However, if that enemy is accompanied by a friend, then the lightning will also jump over and shock that ally for slightly less damage. Finally, if there is another ally of the enemy standing close by, then it will also get shocked for slightly less damage. With that in mind, approaching a shaman if you have allies standing next to you probably isn’t a good idea.

Damage Week: Starfire by Killian
There's another update at the official site for damage week. Today's card preview is Starfire, a druid ability that dishes out arcane damage while replenishing the caster's hand with an extra card.
From the article:
Starfire is an ability of the Druids, a class that takes the root of its power from nature and likes to show that Mother Earth can strike back hard if given good cause. Druids seem unlikely to have as many abilities that hit people with raw damage as, for example, Mages with a talent for fire, but in Starfire, they have themselves a doozy. As we’ve seen this week with Frost Shock, Smite, and Mind Blast, different types of damage meandifferent things in the WoW TCG. In this case, arcane damage usually means drawing cards.

Damage Week: Mind Blast by Killian
Another day of damage week means another card previewed. This time, the priest spell Mind Blast is revealed. Aside from the great art (Darth Sidious anyone?), this card forces an opponent to discard up to 2 cards in their hand.
From the aricle:
Even after having my carcass handed to me, I was aching to play and learn more about the game. The taste of flavor that the demo deck gives is very good, but there will undoubtedly be cards in the set that set the game on its ear.
Today’s preview card is one such example of this. As I said, my opponent used a highly aggressive strategy in our games, frequently using multiple cards in a single turn in an effort to do a lot of early damage. This tactic was certainly effective against me, as I was woefully unprepared for it. But such aggression could certainly lead to disaster for the assertive player when up against our preview card for today, Mind Blast.

Damage Week: Smite by Killian
Damage week continues over at the official WoW TCG website, and that means more card previews. Today we're shown Smite, a priest spell that, for the cost of , will deal 4 unpreventable damage to a hero or ally.
From the aricle:
I hate it when things go wrong. I’m a very thorough guy sometimes and I’ve got the world’s most ridiculously well-sorted toiletries kit to prove it. Or at least I do by “guy” standards. If I can spend half an hour late at night to ensure that something goes as expected on the following day, I’ll do it. I might seem laid back, but I’m a control freak to the core and I hate it when a well-laid plan is disrupted. That’s why today’s preview card held a lot of appeal for me.
So far, you’ve seen two very different abilities that deal different types of damage. Today’s preview card hits people really, really hard, and they can’t do anything about it.

Damage Week: Frost Shock by Killian
Today is the start of Damage Week over at the official WoW TCG site. They'll be discussing the different types of damage in the game and the advantages of using certain ones. Today's card preview is Frost Shock.
From the aricle:
Frost Shock is a picture of efficiency. For the cost of a mere 2 resources, you get to deal 2 damage to any hero or ally of your choice. That’s enough to finish off most of the allies you’ll encounter, or at least weaken them tremendously. Not only do you get to deal the damage, but you also get the nice secondary effect of “shoving” an opponent’s character out of the fight for the turn.
